THIS IS A MUST SEE!
Coming from Australia this is something we can’t even imagine.

Having the Internet means that we get to see something that we may never see otherwise!
To quote the author of the email that I received these in:
“The water froze the instant the wave broke through the ice. That’s what it is like in Lake Winnipeg (sic) where it is the coldest weather in decades. Water freezes the instant it comes in contact with the air. The temperature of the water is already some degrees below freezing.”
Bear Tales note: These images are from Antarctica see photoblog.
Just look at how the wave froze in mid-air!!!

unreal. had no idea ice could be so colorful
wow.
That is an incredible photo!!
Although agreeably amazing, these are not in Lake Winnipeg. They’re in Antarctica, and here’s the photog’s website: http://www.astro.caltech.edu/~tonyt/Tonys_site/My_Albums/Pages/dome_c_2004.html
Thanks for that. Usually I do a image search to verify things slipped up in this case must be more careful. Have edited the post.
You need to take part in a contest for one of the best sites online.
